Resturants

The following restaurants are generally good or at least have one dish of note.  By good, I mean low calorie, low fat, high fiber, and tasty.

Chaat House (Website|Yelp) 939 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale
Open 7 Days a week - 11.30am to 9.30pm.  Takes credit cards.
There is no nutritional information available in the restaurant or on the website.
Indian fast-food specializing in chaat (appetizers) but with plenty of entrees.  Wide variety.  Serves mostly an Indian crowd.  Service is fast but not particularly friendly. The food menu marque above the counter is in Hindi, but there are paper menus with English descriptions on the counter.  On your first visit, you should get the paper menu and read it at a table before going to the counter to order.  After ordering, the food is brought to you at the table.

Fresh Choice (Website|Yelp) Multiple locations
Open 7 day a week, 11am - 9pm
Extensive nutritional information is available in the restaurant and on the website.

All-you-can-eat salad bar with soup, breads, pizza, baked potatoes, and ice cream.
The salad bar is fresh and has a good variety.  The rest of it is so-so and not very good for you anyway other than the lentil and vegetable soups.  Each item on the salad bar is conveniently labeled with nutritional information.  Be wary of the high calorie, high fat salad dressing and croutons.  Also be wary of the pre-made salads.  The spinach and strawberry salad looks good, but it is made with a high-fat dressing.  Make your own spinach salad with one of the several fat-free dressings.

Taste Buds (Website|Yelp) 673 Grape Ave, Sunnyvale
Open until 10:00 most nights, 10:30 Friday and Saturday, Closed on Monday
There is no nutritional information available in the restaurant or on the website.

A hole in the wall with decent Indian food.  The service is quick and friendly.  The food is generally good but the weekend buffet is a bit lame.  It is good for a quick meal.
